Located just 35 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City, the resort town of The Canyons offers high-quality shopping, dining, living, and playing. Exceptional entertainment and recreational activities are available year round.

Shopping and Dining

Renowned cuisine created by the “Best Chef in Salt Lake,” Chef John Murcko, delights the senses and fills the air at the Canyons Resort. Offering a breath-taking mountain view, The Farm is a new addition to The Canyons and features New American fare. Locally sourced, seasonal produce and meats are served up at The Restaurant at Waldorf Astoria Park City. One of the area’s most popular restaurants, Talisker on Main, was just named the “Best Restaurant in Park City.” A variety of unique shops offering apparel, accessories, gifts, and recreational equipment and accessories line the streets of The Canyons. For snacks, miscellaneous items, or daily necessities, head over to The General Store in the lobby of the Grand Summit Hotel.

Parks and Recreation

The Canyons is known for its world-class ski resort. Featuring top-rated skiing, hiking, and mountain biking, as well as scenic gondola rides, hot air balloon rides, disc golf, and pedal boats, the Canyons Resort never gets dull! Brand new zip lines increase the excitement, and carry you either 800 or 2,111 feet over picturesque slopes and breath-taking canyons. Another new addition, the gravity bike park is located mid-mountain and is perfect for a variety of skill levels. And, the truly adventurous won’t want to miss out on Wasatch Powderbird Guides’ new heli-ski tours. Want something a little more relaxing? Make sure to catch the horse-drawn sleigh rides offered by The Grand Summit Hotel.

Living

Living in The Canyons means that all of your favorite dining, shopping, and entertainment and recreational activities are just a short walk (or ski!) from your front door. The Colony at White Pine Canyon is a 4,400-acre, luxury neighborhood comprised of 260 home sites. The sites are widely considered to be the largest ski-in, ski-out residential properties in the nation. The neighborhoods of Hidden Creek and Red Pine offer affordable, residential condominiums, while The Waldorf Park City, Hyatt Escala Lodge, Silverado, and The Westgate offer high-rise, luxury hotel-condos that include first-class service, hotel amenities, and convenient access to shopping and dining options.

Schools, Health, Transportation

The Park City School District operates seven public schools in the area. Private schools, including two Montessori schools, are also located nearby. Emergency services and routine medical care can be found in Park City at the Park City Medical Center. More intensive, long-term care is available just a short drive away in Salt Lake City. The Salt Lake International Airport is approximately 30 minutes away.
